Journey to the Art Shed |
Sheldon is a cluster of converted farm buildings set in 45 acres
of grounds with beautiful views across the Teign Valley. |
|
|
|
The Project |
For many years Sheldon has had 'Takeaway Art Play" boxes available in the
Library for guests to use. But until now they have not had a dedicated space that
anyone staying at Sheldon can just come and use whenever they
want.
We created a large building in keeping with the surrounding
environment, simple architecture yet pleasing on the eye. The Art
Shed measures approximately 11m x 4m (44 sq m). |

Inside the building there is hot and cold water, sanitation and

array. Low energy LED panel lights, a host of safety features and
facility for TV and internet connections.
Outside, the building there is treated Larch cladding in keeping with
the environment, exterior lighting includes LED spotlights in the
canopy, dawn till dusk sensors and emergency lighting.
From the Sheldon team Andrew is the one overseeing
all the practicalities of the build. |
